Merchants Fixture is a family-owned business that has built its reputation by creating high-quality products and providing stellar customer service. For over 40 years, we’ve been the industry leader for custom millwork and design, serving customers throughout Richmond and the United States.
It began with meeting a need in the community—sustainable, quality cabinetry tough enough for convenience store traffic—and the business took off from there. We’ve helped hundreds of businesses find solutions for their store or space.

Our customers have unique needs and concerns, but often fall into one of these project types:
SMALL PROJECTS
Our Services for these types of designs and onsite visits range from $500-$1,000, depending on the scope of work and distance.
When you elect Merchants Fixture for the project, 100% of that design retainer is applied towards your project—meaning your money is not wasted.
REMODELS
A remodel typically involves a customer that wants a redesign of their store but isn’t sure where to start. Often, we work with client architects who desire a redesign of the layouts previously provided to them.
We charge $1 per sq. ft. to redesign your space, which is a fraction of the cost of an architect or engineer (that may also lack experience with C-Store design).
When you elect Merchants Fixture for the project, 100% of that design retainer is applied towards your project—meaning your money is not wasted.
NEW GROUND-UP BUILDS
These projects are new builds based on a combination of the customer’s vision and our expertise to design and install a new store from the ground up.
Obviously, the scope and specifics of each project has many variables, and the cost of each individual project reflects that. A rough estimate of these projects is approximately $7,500.
